An appeal is a formal request to review a completed game for potential cheating, unfair play, or technical issues that may have affected the game outcome. Appeals help maintain fair play in Chess Wager tournaments.
When to Submit an Appeal
- Suspected use of chess engines or computer assistance
- Unusual playing patterns or impossibly strong moves
- Technical issues that affected game outcome
- Connection problems leading to unfair time loss
- Opponent behavior violations or harassment
Appeal Process
Step 1: Submit Appeal
Complete the appeal form with specific moves and detailed reasoning.
Step 2: Review Process
Our team reviews the game using advanced analysis tools and databases.
Step 3: Decision
A decision is made within 14 days and all parties are notified.
Appeal Requirements
- Appeals can only be submitted after game completion
- Must specify exact moves in question
- Detailed explanation of concerns required
- False appeals may result in penalties
- One appeal per game maximum
